Bad Breath/Periodontal Treatment
|Bad breath or a bad taste in the mouth may be warning signs of gum (periodontal) disease. Gum disease is caused by the buildup of plaque on teeth. The bacteria cause toxins to form in the mouth, which irritate the gums. If gum disease continues untreated, it can damage the gums and jawbone as well as pose a threat to your overall health as mouth is the gateway of the body's digestive system. |
Regular Teeth Cleaning
It’s all about prevention. Brush your teeth often, floss your teeth well, and get your teeth cleaned professionally at the dentist’s office at the appropriate intervals can help prevent many painful and costly problems in the future. See our video: Periodntics -In Office Cleaning
Gingivitis/Deep Cleaning Treatment
Healthy teeth generally have a pocket of 1-3 mm. When the gums are infected by bacteria, the attachment to the tooth retreats, creating deeper pockets. These pockets serve as a safe place for bacteria to live, as they are often out of the reach of your toothbrush, floss and mouth wash. Cleaning these pockets is called Scaling and Root Planing or Deep Cleaning. If you suffer from gingivitis, we can help you prevent many painful and costly health related issues.
